Portland Bounces Back to Beat New Hampshire
The game was tied 5-5 entering the eighth. Ronald Rosario hit a two-run home run to break the tie, which led to Portland’s win. Will Turner also added a home run for Portland. Eddie Micheletti Jr. hit a home run for New Hampshire.
Erie Snaps Skid Against Harrisburg
The SeaWolves scored three in the third and three more in the sixth to beat the Senators. In the third, Justice Bigbie singled home a run, Andrew Jenkins brought home a run on a fielder’s choice, and Max Burt singled home a run. In the sixth, Peyton Graham singled home a run, then a run scored on a wild pitch, with another scoring on a passed ball. T.J. White hit a solo home run for Harrisburg’s lone run. Jake Miller went three scoreless innings, allowing a hit, walking two, and striking out two. Lael Lockhart for the SeaWolves went four scoreless innings for his second save of the season. He allowed a hit, walked three, and struck out five.
Altoona Beats Richmond with Three-Run Third
The Curve, with the game tied 1-1, got a two-run triple from Will Taylor, and Taylor would then score on a single from Ivan Brethowr. Matt Ager for Altoona went six innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He walked one and struck out two.
Five-Run Second Leads Somerset over Reading
The Patriots, in the second, got an RBI single from Miguel Palma to tie the game at 1-1. Jackson Castillo drove home a run on a sacrifice fly, then with the bases loaded, DJ Gladney cleared them with a double to make it 5-1. That was enough as Somerset beat the Fightin Phils 9-4. Ben Hess went five innings, allowing three runs on five hits. He walked one and struck out four.
Hartford Scores Five Early to Beat Binghamton
Hartford opened the scoring with an RBI triple from Braylen Wimmer, then he scored along with Mike Antico on a single by Andy Perez, making it 3-0. In the third, they added to their lead with an RBI single by Jack O’Dowd and a sacrifice fly from Cole Messina, leading to a 7-2 win. Luis Robert Jr., in a rehab stint, hit a solo home run in the loss. Jack Mahoney for the Yard Goats went 7.2 innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits. He walked one and struck out nine.
Akron Scores Three in Third to Beat Chesapeake
The RubberDucks got a solo home run from Juan Benjamin to tie the game at 2-2. They then took the lead with a Alfonsin Rosario double and added two more with a Jacob Cozart single, making it 4-2. Cozart was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the fifth to make it 5-2. Dylan DeLucia for Akron went 4.2 innings, allowing runs on six hits. He didn’t allow a walk and struck out seven.
