The third night of games in the Eastern League saw Erie remain unbeaten. Harrisburg beat Richmond for the second straight night, and Hartford beat Somerset in extras.

Altoona’s sixth run propels them over Portland
Titus Dumitru tied the game at 2-2 with a solo home run in the sixth. Keiner Delgado drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 3-2, then Duce Gourson hit a grand slam to make it 7-2, which led to Altoona’s win. Jack Winnay went 2-4 with an RBI and a run in the loss. Gage Ziehl pitched well for the Sea Dogs, going five innings, allowing a run on six hits. He walked one and struck out eight.
Baysox score six in the ninth to beat Rumble Ponies
Binghamton got four runs in the eighth on a Kevin Parada RBI single and a Vincent Perozo three-run home run to make it 4-2. Chesapeake answered with six runs in the ninth for the win as Aron Estrada hit a grand slam, then Ethan Anderson hit a solo home run, and Douglas Hodo III had an RBI double to make it 8-4. Joseph Dzierwa went 4.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits. He walked two and struck out seven for the Baysox.
Harrisburg scored two in the fifth, sixth, and seventh to beat Richmond for the second straight night
The Senators got a run on a throwing error on a pick-off attempt, then an RBI single from Caleb Lomavita. In the sixth, T.J. White hit a two-run home run. Then in the seventh, Ethan Petry drove home two with a double. Richmond scored three in the eighth on a three-run home run from Jean Carlos Sio, but it wasn’t enough in an 8-4 loss. Isaac Lyon for Harrisburg went seven innings, allowing a run on seven hits. He didn’t issue a walk and struck out four.
Erie scores six in the sixth to win third straight over Akron
The SeaWolves trailed 10-6 entering the sixth when Peyton Graham got things started with an RBI single. Seth Stephenson stole home, then Andrew Jenkins reached on a throwing error before E.J. Exposito hit a three-run home run, leading to a 12-10 win. Eric Silva, Tyler Owens, and Wandisson Charles held Erie’s lead, combining to go 4.1 scoreless innings. They allowed two hits, walked two, and struck out three.
Hartford Beats Somerset in Extras
In the top of the ninth with the Yard Goats trailing 6-5, Aidan Longwell doubled home a run to tie the game at 6-6. Somerset didn’t score in the bottom half, forcing the game to extras. In the tenth, a wild pitch by Harrison Cohen allowed two runs to score, giving Hartford an 8-6 lead. Fidel Ulloa shut down the Patriots, finishing the game going 2.2 scoreless innings. He allowed a hit and walked one, picking up the win to improve to 4-1.
Reading’s four-run fifth puts New Hampshire away
The Fisher Cats scored three in the fifth on a Jorge Burgos two-run home run, then a Hedbert Perez solo home run to make it a one-run game. In the bottom half, a Raider Tello grand slam put things away to make it 8-3 in a 10-4 win.
