Fisher Cats Take Finale

Somerset scored three in the first. In the second, New Hampshire got two runs on a single. They took the lead in the sixth on a Jackson Hornung double that brought home two runs. The Fisher Cats added to that lead with a solo home run from Cutter Coffey in the eighth to win 5-3. Kyle Carr got the start for Somerset. He allowed four runs, two earned, on eight hits. He walked one and struck out eight.

Reading Dominates Altoona Again

Reading took a 2-0 lead, but Altoona answered with four runs, which was all they scored. The Fightin Phils tied it in the fifth. In the seventh, Aroon Escobar hit a two-run home run, Erick Brito doubled home a run, and Bryan Rincon singled home a run to give Reading a 9-4 win. The Fightin Phils bullpen combined to go four scoreless innings, allowing two hits, a walk, and five strikeouts. Callan Moss led the Curve, going 2-4.

Portland Blanks Hartford Takes Series

Miguel Bleis hit a solo home run in the first inning as the Sea Dogs beat the Yard Goats 6-0. Blake Wehunt went six scoreless innings. He allowed a hit, walked none, and struck out eight. Jack Mahoney suffered his first loss, going five innings, allowing three runs on five hits. He walked one and struck out six.

Chesapeake and Harrisburg Rained Out

The Baysox and Senators game tonight was rained out and postponed, but a date was not announced. The two teams meet from August 4th to the 9th.

Erie Walks-Off Binghamton

The SeaWolves led 5-3 entering the ninth. Jesse Ramos and Nick Lorusso each singled home runs to tie the game for Binghamton and force extras. Chris Meyers in the tenth singled home the game-winning run to make it 6-5. Meyers went 3-5 with five RBI and a run scored.

Richmond Scores in Eighth to Beat RubberDucks

Another game with another Richmond late-inning win. The game was tied 6-6 in the eighth when Parks Harber singled home the game-winning run to make it 7-6. Wuilfredo Antunnez went 2-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in the loss.
