Senators Rebound to Beat Reading

The Senators put up three in the fifth and three in the eighth, also recording two-run innings in the second, third, and sixth, leading them to a 12-2 win over the Fightin Phils. T.J. White, Ethan Petry, and Jonathon Thomas all hit two-run home runs for Harrisburg. Riley Maddox pitched five scoreless innings for the Senators, allowing two hits, walking two, and striking out six. Aroon Escobar and Raylin Heredia drove in the lone Reading runs.

Binghamton’s Bats Wake Up in Sixth to Beat Portland

Portland took a 1-0 lead in the third on a sacrifice fly from Franklin Arias. After being one-hit, Binghamton got their second hit and loaded the bases when Corey Collins singled home two runs, which proved to be the game-winner in a 2-1 victory. Hayden Mullins for Portland went five scoreless innings, allowing a hit, a walk, and striking out eight. Carlos Guzman picked up his third save for Binghamton with a scoreless ninth despite walking two batters.

Hartford vs. Richmond

Game 1: Richmond Comeback Falls Short to Hartford

The Yard Goats got an RBI single from Aidan Longwell and a two-RBI double from Mike Antico to take a 3-0 lead. Antico hit a three-run home run to make it 6-1 in a 6-5 win. Richmond got a solo home run from Jean Carlos Sio.

Game 2: Richmond Responds in Nightcap

Hartford jumped out to a 3-0 lead behind a two-run home run from Andy Perez and an RBI single from Jack O’Dowd. Richmond answered in the home half. They got an RBI triple from Trevor Cohen. Cohen scored on a fielder’s choice, then Jancel Villarroel singled home a run to tie the game at 3-3. In the sixth, Gavin Kilen doubled home two runs to give Richmond a 5-3 lead which led to a win.

Burgos Grand Slam Leads Fisher Cats over Patriots

The Fisher Cats got a solo home run from Carter Cunningham in the seventh to tie the game at 3-3. In the eighth, Jorge Burgos hit a grand slam to right-center field to lead them to a 7-4 win. Josh Moylan and DJ Gladney hit solo home runs for Somerset in the loss. Arjun Nimmala also homered for New Hampshire.

Chesapeake Comes Back to Beat Erie

The game was tied 1-1 in the sixth. Garrett Pennington singled home a run, and Andrew Jenkins scored on a wild pitch to make it 3-1 Erie. In the home half of the sixth, Tavian Josenberger hit a two-run home run to tie it, and Douglas Hodo III doubled home a run to make it 4-3 Baysox. Hodo would hit a solo home run in the eighth, extending the lead to 6-3 as Chesapeake won 7-3. Juaron Watts-Brown went 5.1 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. He didn’t allow a walk and struck out six.

Akron Scores Three in the Ninth to Force Extras Walk-Off Curve in Tenth

The Curve led 4-1 when they entered the ninth. Alex Mooney doubled home a run, and Jaison Chourio hit a two-run home run to tie it. In the tenth, Callan Moss and Lonnie White Jr. each singled home runs to make it 6-4. Dean Curley singled home a run for Akron in the home half, then Aaron Walton doubled home a run to tie the game. Walton scored on a fielder’s choice to give Akron a 7-6 win.
