Elly De La Cruz

The Reds have place Elly De La Cruz on the 10-Day injured list. Cruz has been the leader for this Reds team leading them with a .280 average, tied with Sal Stewart with 12 home runs, 37 RBI and with ten stolen bases this season. The MRI showed a mild strain which hopefully will only mean a couple of weeks missed for Cruz.

Edwin Arroyo

The Reds are recalling Shortstop Edwin Arroyo from Louisville today. Arroyo has played in 53 games this season at Triple-A for the Louisville Bats. He has recorded 70 hits and nine doubles. Arroyo also achieved five triples, 11 home runs, 34 RBI, and nine steals. He has slashed .323/.383/.562. Arroyo is a switch-hitting 22-year-old. If he can continue to hit, he might be here to stay.

Yunior Marte

The Cincinnati Reds have designated pitcher Yunior Marte for assignment. Marte pitched in one game. He recorded one out. He gave up three hits and four earned runs. Marte hit one batter and walked a batter.
