The Red Sox opened the scoring in the first. Wilyer Abreu doubled home a run, then Willson Conteras tripled home Abreu to make it 2-0. Andruw Monasterio singled home Conteras, and Marcelo Mayer drove home Monasterio on a sacrifice fly to make it 4-0. The Twins answered in the second as they got three runs to make it 4-3. The Red Sox added to their lead in the fourth as Caleb Durbin on a sacrifice bunt, reached and Nick Sogard scored. Jarren Duran also brought home a run on a groundout to make it 6-3. The seventh thing unraveled for Boston as the Twins hit two two-run home runs to make it 8-6, which would be the final. Payton Tolle went six innings, allowing three runs on four hits. He walked two and struck out nine.

Key News & Notes
The Red Sox home struggles continued as they dropped to 8-15 at home this season. Tonight was their first loss scoring more than three runs since May 7th which came in a 6-4 loss to the Rays. Tolle continues to impress forcing a tough conversation for Boston on what to do with the rotation when Garrett Crochet returns. Tolle has a 2.45 ERA, a 0.82 WHIP, and 39 strikeouts in 36.2 innings.
