Paul Skenes (0-0, 3.86 ERA, 4 K) vs. Adrian Houser (0-0, 4.50 ERA, 0 K)

Skenes gets the ball for the USA. In his only start this spring for the Pirates he went 2.1 innings. He allowed a run on a hit. Skenes walked four and struck out four. Last season in 32 starts for the Pirates he went 10-10. He posted a 1.97 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP, and had 216 strikeouts in 187.2 innings. Skenes went on to win the National League Cy Young.

Houser gets the ball for the Giants against Team USA. This spring, in one start he went two innings, allowing one run on three hits. He walked one and didn’t record a strikeout. He signed with the Giants on December 19th. Last season, he spent time with the White Sox and Tampa Bay Rays, making 21 starts between the two teams, going 8-5 with a 3.31 ERA, a 1.28 WHIP, and 92 strikeouts in 125 innings. He pitched for four different teams throughout his big league career.
