SF Giants Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The San Francisco Giants have a 13-16 record entering their game with the Phillies tonight. They got shut out 7-0 in game one of the series last night. The Giants are in fourth place in the NL West and are six and a half games behind the Dodgers. Before the second game of their series with the Phillies, the Giants announced three roster moves. They shake up their bullpen. They also extend a stay on the injured list for one outfielder.

Jared Oliva

The San Francisco Giants have transferred outfielder Jared Oliva from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list. He has a left wrist hamate fracture. Oliva was able t play in six games this season with one hit, one steal, and a .143 batting average, before his injury.

Blake Tidewell

The Giants have optioned right-hand pitcher Blake Tidwell to Triple-A ahead of tonight’s game. Tidwell has pitched in eight games this season for the Giants with a 3.00 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. Tidwell has recorded one hold, one save, and ten strikeouts through 12 innings pitched. He will continue his season with the Sacramento River Cats

Gregory Santos

The San Francisco Giants have selected the contract of pitcher Gregory Santos before tonight’s game. Santos last pitched in the big leagues for the Seattle Mariners back in 2025. He had a 1-1 record and a 5.14 ERA during that time. This season in Triple-A, Santos has pitched in eight games with a 2.45 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. Santos has six strikeouts in 11 innings pitched for the River Cats.
