Ceballos hits two home runs to lead Richmond over Altoona

The Flying Squirrels got home runs from Sabin Ceballos and Jean Carlos Sio to beat Altoona 5-3. Ceballos hit a solo home run in the fourth to give them a 2-1 lead, then another in the sixth to extend the lead to 4-1. Greg Farone got the win, improving to 3-7, going five innings, allowing a run on three hits. He walked one and struck out six. Tyler Vogel picked up his 12th save, pitching two scoreless innings and striking out two.

Fisher Cats and Sea Dogs Combine for Seven Home Runs in New Hampshire Win

The Fisher Cats got a two-run home run in the first from Arjun Nimmala and Aaron Parker, opening a 4-0 lead. Brooks Brannon hit a two-run home run for Portland to make it 4-3. Jorge Burgos hit a grand slam for New Hampshire to make it 8-4. Nate Baez for the Sea Dogs hit a three-run home run. Dub Gleed added to the Fisher Cats’ lead with a three-run home run. Franklin Arias hit a solo home run in the ninth, but it wasn’t enough as New Hampshire won 15-8.

Harrisburg Stays Hot, Wins Third Straight Over Erie

The Senators broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth with a solo home run from Ethan Petry, then a two-run home run from Devin Ortiz, making it 4-1. Jonathon Thomas tripled home a run in the sixth, and Kervin Pichardo had a solo home run as Harrisburg won their third straight over Erie tonight, 8-3. Riley Maddox got the ball for the Senators, going seven innings, allowing a run on four hits. He walked one and struck out two.

Akron Takes Second Straight Over Chesapeake

Douglas Hodo III hit a solo home run for Chesapeake, then Nick Mitchell hit a solo home run to tie things up. Akron added runs in the third, fourth, and two in the seventh, leading to their win. Caden Favors got the start for the RubberDucks, going 5.1 innings, allowing a run on two hits. He walked two and struck out two.

Reading Blows Out Somerset

Reading got a two-RBI single from Raider Tello in the second, and a Pedro Leon sacrifice fly to take a 3-0 lead. In the third, Riley Tirotta singled home a run, and Leon singled home two and added a third on a throwing error. Kehden Hettiger brought home a run on a sacrifice fly, and Tello doubled home a run. Alex Binelas in the sixth hit a solo home run to extend the lead to 10-0. Somerset scored five in the last two innings behind a sacrifice fly, a solo home run from Miguel Palma, and a three-run home run in the ninth from Jace Avina, but they fell 11-5. Luke Russo for Reading went six scoreless innings, allowing three runs. He walked two and struck out nine.

Binghamton Broke the Game Open in the Sixth to Beat Somerset

The game was tied 2-2 into the sixth when Kevin Parada singled home a run, and Matt Rudick hit a two-run home run to make it 6-2. Hartford added a run in the bottom half, while Binghamton added another in the seventh for a 7-3 win. R.J. Gordon picked up his first win of the season, 5.2 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. He walked two and struck out five. Stu Flesand III for Hartford went four scoreless innings, allowing a hit, no walks, and striking out six. Dyan Jorge for the Yard Goats went 3-3 with two runs scored and two walks in the loss.
