MLB Game Recap

Chase Burns stifled Colorado over 6.0 innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with nine strikeouts on 97 pitches to earn his third win. The Reds took an early lead. Spencer Steer hit a two-run homer in the first. Relievers Graham Ashcraft, Tony Santillan, and Brock Burke combined for three scoreless frames of one-hit ball. Elly De La Cruz’s two-run blast in the eighth served as the final turning point to secure the win.

His eighth-inning shot iced the game, while his two early stolen bases manufactured runs that put the Rockies away early. Defensively, his backhand play in the second inning saved a run, further cementing his impact on the outcome.
