Eli White Acquired for Tyler Uberstine
White, this season for the Braves, has appeared in 69 games, hitting .233 with a .691 OPS. He had six doubles, a triple, five home runs, 17 RBI, 17 runs scored, and four stolen bases. Uberstine made one appearance for Boston, suffering the loss as he allowed a run on three hits. He walked two and struck out two in 2.2 innings. Uberstine was made expendable with John Holobetz and Blake Wehunt showing up at Triple-A and having success.
Marcelo Mayer was dealt for Erik Miller and a Prospect
The Red Sox surprisingly dealt Mayer to the San Francisco Giants. Mayer, in 70 games, hit .220 with a .594 OPS. He had ten doubles, three home runs, 22 RBI, and 19 runs scored. They acquired lefty reliever Erik Miller and outfield prospect Carlos Gutierrez. Miller has made 38 appearances, going 2-0 with a 2.76 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts in 32.2 innings. Gutierrez, in 83 games at High-A, hit .271 with a .826 OPS. He had 18 doubles, three triples, nine home runs, 45 RBI, 65 runs scored, and 26 stolen bases.
