Miami Marlins Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Miami Marlins swept the Colorado Rockies to open their 2026 season. They walked them off yesterday, winning 4-3. The Marlins start a new series against the Chicago White Sox tonight. Davis Martin will go for Chicago while Chris Paddack gets his first start of the year for the Marlins. Before tonight’s game, the Marlins announced two roster moves.

Deyvison De Los Santos

The Miami Marlins have optioned Deyvison De Los Santos to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp before tonight’s game. Santos played in one game over the weekend and hit a double. This season, he has played one game for the Jumbo Shrimp in Triple-A. He scored two runs and got two hits. He added one home run and three RBI. In 2025, Santos played in 106 games for the Jumbo Shrimp in Triple-A. He had a .241/311/.363 slashline. He finished last season with 11 doubles, 12 home runs, and 54 RBI.

Leo Jimenez

The Miami Marlins have activated newly acquired Leo Jimenez after yesterday’s trade with the Blue Jays. The Marlins sent Shortstop Dub Gleed and future consideration for Jimenez yesterday. Last season with Toronto, Jimenez played in 18 games and slashed .069/.129/.172. In Triple-A last season with the Buffalo Bison, he played in 57 games. He hit seven home runs, had 23 RBI, and slashed .296/.404/.370.
