Kyle Manzardo was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on July 18, 2000. He played high school baseball at Lake City High School in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Manzardo in his junior year hit .471 with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs, 28 RBI, 13 runs scored, three stolen bases, and seven walks. On the mound that season he appeared in five games going 1-0 with a 6.18 ERA, and six strikeouts in 11.1 innings. In his senior year, he hit .594 with ten doubles, two home runs, 24 RBI, 26 runs scored, nine stolen bases, and 21 walks. He made seven appearances while starting three of those he went 3-2 with a 1.71 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 28.2 innings.

In his final season at Washington State, he played in 47 games and slashed .366/.437/.640 with a 1.076 OPS; he had 19 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs, 60 RBI, 43 runs scored, one stolen base, and 25 walks.
