Probable Starting Pitchers

Game 1: Clarke Schmidt (0-0, 4.76 ERA) vs. Gavin Williams (1-1, 4.58 ERA)

Schmidt will start game one for the Yankees. Clarke has only made one start for the Yankees this year. He faced the Royals in a, no decision. Schmidt pitched 5.2 innings allowing four hits, three runs, two walks, and struck out two. Williams will go for the Guardians. He lost his last time out against the Orioles. Williams pitched 6.2 innings allowing four hits, five runs, two home runs, four walks, and striking out four.

Game 2: Will Warren (1-0, 5.17 ERA) vs. Tanner Bibee (1-2, 5.85 ERA)

Warren will get the start in game two for the Yankees. Warren had a short outing last start against the Tampa Bay Rays. He pitched 1.2 innings allowed, four hits, one run, two walks and one strikeout. Bibee will get the start for the Guardians. Rodon will get the third game for the Yankees. He beat the Rays last time out. Rodon pitched six scoreless innings allowed two hits, four walks and struck out nine. Ortiz will go for the Guardians. He got the win against the Pirates last time out. He pitched five innings, allowed our hits, two runs, one home run, three walks, and striking out eight.

Player To Watch:

New York Yankees

Aaron Judge is one to watch in every game, but how can you not watch this guy. He enters this series with a .390 batting average and a 1.202 OPS. He leads the Yankees in home runs with seven and also lead the team in RBI with 25. The guy is one of the very best in all of baseball. Judge has 21 runs, 32 hits, five doubles, two steals and the before mentions seven home runs and 25 RBI. In 2024 in six games against the Guardians, Judge ripped the cover off the ball hitting .375 with nine hits, five home runs, 10 RBI, and seven runs scored.

Cleveland Guardians

On the flip side Kyle Manzardo, in his first full season has no history against the Yankees. He does though lead the Guardians in home runs and RBI this year. He enters this series with 10 runs, 14 hits, two doubles, one triple, six home runs, and 16 RBI. Manzardo is currently holding a .212 batting average.
