2021

De La Cruz played for the Reds’ rookie ball team and Single-A Daytona. In rookie ball team he played in 11 game shitting .400 with a 1.235 OPS. De La Cruz had six doubles, two triples, three home runs, 13 RBI, 13 runs scored, and two stolen bases. In Single-A, he played in 50 games, hitting .269 with a .782 OPS. De La Cruz ranked as the 77th overall prospect by Baseball America and 76th by MLB Pipeline. He played at High-A Dayton and Double-A Chattanooga. In 74 games at Dayton, he hit .303 with a .968 OPS. De La Cruz had 14 doubles, six triples, 20 home runs, 52 RBI, 53 runs scored, and 28 stolen bases. In 47 games at Chattanooga, he hit .305 with a .910 OPS. He had 17 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 34 RBI, 34 runs scored, and 19 stolen bases. He played in the Futures Game, getting the start at shortstop, going 0-1.

2023

De La Cruz ranked as the eighth overall prospect by Baseball America and the tenth by MLB Pipeline. In 38 games at Triple-A Louisville, he hit .298 with a 1.031 OPS. He had 11 doubles, three triples, 12 home runs, 36 RBI, 38 runs scored, and 11 stolen bases. He got the call to the Reds and played in 98 games, hitting .235 with a .710 OPS. De La Cruz had 15 doubles, seven triples, 13 home runs, 44 RBI, 67 runs scored, and 35 stolen bases. He finished seventh in Rookie of the Year voting.

2024

In 160 games with the Reds, he hit .259 with a .810 OPS. He had 36 doubles, ten triples, 25 home runs, 76 RBI, 105 runs scored, and 67 stolen bases. De La Cruz finished eighth in MVP voting and was an All-Star.
