MiLB: How the Eastern League Players Did in the Futures Game

The 2026 MLB Futures Game was played today with the American League Futures beating the National League Futures 6-1. The Eastern League had seven prospects taking part in the game. Pitchers Nolan Perry from New Hampshire, Joseph Dzierwa from Chesapeake, Reading’s Gage Wood and Wen-Hui Pan, along with Portland’s Anthony Eyanson. Franklin Arias for Portland was the lone hitter, as the other hitter, Erie’s Thayron Liranzo, was out with an injury.

Wood got the start for the National League, allowing a run in his lone inning. He allowed a hit, didn’t walk anyone, and didn’t record a strikeout. Perry pitched the third for the American League. He allowed a run on no hits and a walk. Eyanson went 0.1 innings, allowing a walk. Pan also went 0.1 innings, allowing two runs on a hit. He walked one and struck out one. Dzierwa made an appearance in the seventh as he started the inning and he retired the lone batter he faced. Arias got the start at second, and he went 0-2 with an RBI and a strikeout. He got the scoring started as he drove home a run on a ground out.
