Harrisburg Stays Hot, Snaps Erie’s Nine-Game Win Streak
The Senators trailed 1-0 entering the seventh when Leandro Pineda hit a solo home run to tie it. Erie took the lead back with a Patrick Lee RBI groundout. Harrisburg would take the lead with a two-RBI double by Branden Boissier, making it 3-2. Garrett Pennington would have an RBI single to tie it 3-3. In the ninth, T.J. White hit a solo home run to make it 4-3, which was the final. Alex Clemmey for Harrisburg went six innings, allowing a run on two hits. He walked two and struck out five. Max Alba got the start for Erie, going four scoreless innings, allowing two hits. He walked two and struck out three.
Richmond Rebounds Beats Altoona
Richmond got three runs in the third behind a three-run homer from Parks Harber to secure a 3-2 win. Altoona got an RBI double from Matt King in the second and a bases-loaded walk from Callan Moss in the seventh. Trystan Vrieling went five innings, allowing a run on six hits. He walked one and struck out three. Cristian Alvarado struck out the side to secure his third save of the season.
Chesapeake Beats Akron in Extras
Akron started the game with a solo home run from Maick Collado, making it 1-0. The Baysox, in the eighth, tied it when Brandon Butterworth reached on an error, scoring Tavian Josenberger. In the extras, with the game tied 1-1, Fernando Peguero scored on a wild pitch, and the Baysox took the first game. Joseph Dzierwa once again pitched well, going five innings, allowing a run on three hits. He didn’t allow a walk and struck out three. Braylon Doughty went six scoreless innings for Akron, allowing five hits. He didn’t allow a walk and struck out six.
Reading Beats Somerset to Start Week
The Fighting Phils jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a Raylin Heredia two-run home run. The Patriots got back into it with a solo home run from DJ Gladney to make it 2-1. Gage Wood went three scoreless innings, allowing two hits. He didn’t allow a walk and struck out four. Alex McFarlane picked up his 11th save with a scoreless ninth, allowing a hit, no walks, and striking out two. Xavier Rivas went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits. He walked two and struck out six.
Binghamton Scores Six Late, Beats Hartford
Binghamton jumped on Hartford early, leading 4-0 after two innings. Somerset came back to tie it, but in the eighth it was all Binghamton. Kevin Villavicencio stole second, and Wyatt Young would score on a throwing error. Jose Ramos would double in two more, Nick Lorusso would single home Ramos, and JT Schwartz reached on a fielding error that allowed Lorusso to score, then Kevin Parada drove home Schwartz on a sacrifice fly, making it 10-4. Cade Denton for Hartford, allowing Hartford to come back going 4.1 scoreless innings; he allowed four hits, no walks, and struck out six.
