The New York Mets are playing the second game of their four-game series against the San Francisco Giants tonight. The Giants won the first game of the series last night 7-2. Tonight during the first inning on a ball hit to the outfield,

Mets outfielder Juan Soto going from first to third grimaced in pain after rounding second. He would leave the game. The team said it was right calf tightness. Soto reached via a single after a Francisco Lindor single. The Mets currently lead 2-0 in the third inning. Tyrone Taylor replaced Soto in left field in the game. Soto entered tonight hitting .333 with an .894 OPS. He has two doubles, a home run, five RBI, and three runs scored. Soto is in the second year of his 15-year, $765 million contract with the Mets.

Soto in his first season with the Mets hit .263 with a .921 OPS in 160 games. He had 20 doubles, a triple, 43 home runs, 120 runs scored, 38 stolen bases, and 127 walks. In his nine seasons in the big leagues, he’s appeared in 1,103 games. Soto has hit .282 with a .948 OPS. He has 201 doubles, 16 triples, 245 home runs, 702 RBI, 778 runs scored, 95 stolen bases, and 899 walks.
