ITD’s Top 10 Prospects Check In 5/6-5/12

The Top Ten Prospects by ITD had an interesting week with Paul Skenes making his big league debut. James Wood stays hot, Jackson Holliday may be back on his stride, among much more.

ITD’s Top 10

2B/SS – Jackson Holliday – AAA – Baltimore Orioles

Holliday played in all six games last week going 8-23 with a home run, two RBI, eight runs scored, seven walks, and two stolen bases. In Triple-A this season he is hitting .295 with a .940 OPS; he has three home runs, 14 RBI, and 30 runs scored.

RHP – Paul Skenes – MLB – Pittsburgh Pirates

Skenes made his big league debut going four innings giving up three runs on six hits; he walked two and struck out seven. He now has a 6.75 ERA, and a 2.00 WHIP. In Triple-A he didn’t have a decision but he has a 0.99 ERA, a 0.91 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts in 27.1 innings.

OF – Wyatt Langford – MLB – Texas Rangers

Langford will miss three to four weeks with a hamstring strain. This season he is hitting .224 with a .588 OPS; he has one home run which was an inside-the-park home run, 11 RBI, and 13 runs scored.

OF – Dylan Crews – AA – Washington Nationals

Crews last week went 4-14 with a double, a home run, two RBI, three runs scored, three walks, and three stolen bases. This season he is hitting .240 with a .779 OPS; he has three home runs, 17 RBI, and 13 runs scored.

OF – Jackson Chourio – MLB – Milwaukee Brewers

Chourio last week in six games he went 2-12 with a run scored. He is hitting .214 with a .595 OPS; he has four home runs, 13 RBI, and 15 runs scored.

3B/SS – Junior Caminero – AAA – Tampa Bay Rays

Caminero played in six games last week going 6-24 with an RBI, two runs scored, and five walks. He is hitting .304 with a .933 OPS; he has six home runs, 17 RBI, and 14 runs scored.

C – Ethan Salas – A+ – San Diego Padres

Salas last week went 3-17 in five games with a double, a triple, two RBI, four runs scored, and five walks. This season the 17-year-old continues to struggle hitting .188 with a .563 OPS; he has nine RBI and six runs scored.

OF – James Wood – AAA – Washington Nationals

Wood last week went 10-22 with a double, five home runs, 12 RBI, ten runs scored, a stolen base, and four walks. This season he is hitting .346 with a 1.025 OPS; he has seven home runs, 23 RBI, and nine stolen bases.

SS – Jordan Lawlar – AAA – Arizona Diamondbacks

Lawlar is out for two months at least after right thumb surgery.

OF – Max Clark – A – Detroit Tigers

Clark last week played in five games going 6-22 with a double, three RBI, six runs scored, and two walks. This season he is hitting .250 with a .695 OPS; he has one home run, 18 RBI, and 20 runs scored.
