Jackson Holliday was born in Austin, Texas, on December 4, 2003. He played high school baseball at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, OK. He was the first-ranked shortstop and the first overall player in Oklahoma. Holliday’s senior year, he played in 40 games and hit .685 with a .752 OBP with 89 hits, 28 doubles, five triples, 17 home runs, 79 RBI, and 74 runs scored. Holliday was the second-ranked shortstop in the country and the fifth-ranked player overall. He committed to play college baseball at the Oklahoma State University.

Holiday played for the Orioles rookie ball team. He also played for their Single-A team, the Delmarva Shorebirds. In 20 games, he slashed .297/.489/.422 with a .911 OPS; he had five doubles, one home run, nine RBI, 14 runs scored, four stolen bases, and 25 walks.

2023

In 2023, Holliday started the season as the 15th-ranked prospect by Baseball America and 12th by MLB.com. He played at four levels with Single-A Delmarva, High-A Aberdeen, Double-A Bowie, and Triple-A Norfolk. Holliday played in 125 games and slashed .323/.442/.499 with a .941 OPS. He had 30 doubles, nine triples, 12 home runs, 75 RBI, 113 runs scored, 24 stolen bases, and 101 walks. Holliday also played in the future game, going 0-1 with a strikeout.

2024

Holliday entered 2024 as the top-ranked prospect by Baseball America and MLB Pipeline. He played at Triple-A Norfolk and with Baltimore. Holliday played in 73 games with Norfolk hitting .271 with a .908 OPS. He had 25 doubles, ten home runs, 38 RBI, and 75 runs scored. In Baltimore he played in 60 games hitting .190 with a .311 OPS. He had four doubles, two triples, five home runs, 23 RBI, and 28 runs scored.
