
This evening, the Jacksonville Jump Shrimp faced the Durham Bulls in the third game of their six-game series this week. Durham took the first game Tuesday, 3-2, while Jacksonville took Wednesday’s game 8-0. Eury Perez made his first rehab start as he works back from a high-grade right gracilis (inner thigh/hamstring strain). Perez, in 12 starts with the Marlins this season, is 3-6 with a 4.60 ERA, a 1.26 WHIP, and 72 strikeouts in 62.2 innings. He allowed only an RBI single in the third

Perez went 3.2 innings, allowing one run on three hits. He didn’t allow a walk and struck out five. He threw 51 pitches with 37 of them being strikes. Not a bad start in his first rehab appearance.

The game was called after seven innings with the Jumbo Shrimp winning the game 11-5 over the Bulls. Seven Jumbo Shrimp had a hit, with four of them having multiple hits. Griffin Conine had a great night at the plate, going 2-4 with three RBI and a run scored. Jared Serna went 2-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Ethan O’Donnell went 2-3 with two RBI and a run scored. Deyvison De Los Santos went 1-3 with two runs scored and two RBI in the win. Cooper Kinney went 1-3 for the Bulls, driving in two of their five runs on a two-run home run.
