He allowed 2 earned runs, 5 hits, and struck out 4 batters on 101 pitches. Abbott also surrendered solo home runs to Juan Soto and Eric Wagaman. The Reds bullpen allowed one insurance run in the seventh. This included Zach Maxwell and Caleb Ferguson. Cincinnati went just 3-for-15 with runners in scoring position.
Standout Performer

Farm Report
- Triple-A (Louisville): Hector Rodriguez went 4-for-4 with 3 HRs, a walk, and 4 RBIs in a 10-5 win over St. Paul. Rodriguez recorded an inside-the-park home run in his first at-bat. He capped his night with a go-ahead blast in the seventh.
- Double-A (Chattanooga): Shane Sasaki finished 3-for-4 with a triple and a run scored in a 5-4 extra-inning loss to Knoxville. Sasaki’s three hits provided most of the Lookouts’ offensive spark before the Smokies rallied in the tenth.
- High-A (Dayton): Alfredo Duno went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in a 3-2 victory over Great Lakes. Duno led a dramatic three-run ninth-inning rally that culminated in a walk-off bunt by Johnny Ascanio.
- Single-A (Daytona): Tyson Lewis had another impressive performance. He recorded his 11th multi-hit game by going 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Unfortunately, his efforts resulted in an 8-7 loss to Tampa. Lewis doubled to open the game as the Tortugas’ late push brought the tying run to third base.
- ACL Reds: Adulo Sanchez finished 1-for-3. He had an RBI and scored a run during a 10-5 loss to the ACL Dodgers. Sanchez drove in a run during a four-run second inning, though the Dodgers responded with five runs in the sixth.

Looking Ahead
Following an off day on Thursday, the Reds return home to face the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves on Friday night. Chris Paddack (0-6, 6.86 ERA) is scheduled to start the series opener against Grant Holmes.
Stranding 17 runners is a frustrating way to end a road trip. However, Hector Rodriguez’s three-homer explosion in Louisville is a massive silver lining for the future outfield. What do you think?
