Probable Starting Pitchers

Game 1: Will Warren (1-0, 4.79 ERA) vs. Tomoyuki Sugano (2-1, 3.54 ERA)

Warren will be on the bump for New York to kick off this Yankees vs Orioles series. He was a non-factor in Tuesday’s loss in Cleveland, but he still turned in a quality start. Warren surrendered two earned runs on three hits and a walk over five innings of work, lowering his ERA to 4.79 heading into Baltimore. Sugano has given the Orioles exactly what they hoped for this early in the season. In the 4-3 loss to the Nationals, Sugano kept the Orioles within striking distance over his seven innings of work.

Game 2: Carlos Rodón (3-3, 3.50 ERA) vs. TBD

Rodón gave the Yankees seven strong innings on Wednesday in Cleveland, helping New York avoid the sweep. After a rocky stretch earlier this month, he allowed just four hits and struck out five, giving him the sort of bounce-back game the veteran lefty badly needed. The Orioles have not yet announced their game two starter. A rotation that has been decimated by injuries this season, they could either call up 26-year-old Brandon Young or rely on a bullpen game.

Game 3: Carlos Carrasco (2-1, 5.26 ERA) vs. Cade Povich (1-2, 5.04 ERA)

Carrasco will get the ball for the Yankees to wrap up this Yankees vs Orioles midweek series. He had a phenomenal outing against Toronto on Friday; however, a late-game bullpen implosion resulted in Carrasco walking away with a no-decision. Carrasco, gave the Yanks five scoreless innings while allowing just three hits, two walks, and striking out two. In his last outing, Povich pitched 6.2 strong innings against Washington. He delivered a 2-1 victory for Baltimore.
