Kyle Gibson makes his return tonight, and he will get the ball as he faces off against Carlos Rodón tonight. To make room on the roster for Gibson, Baltimore is optioning right-handed pitcher Kade Strowd to Triple-A Norfolk. Gibson, in three rehab starts, went 1-1 with a 3.75 ERA, a 1.00 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts in 12 innings. Strowd didn’t pitch during his time in Baltimore. He made eight appearances this season at Triple-A Norfolk, going 1-1 with an 8.10 ERA, a 1.80 WHIP, and 18 strikeouts in ten innings.

Kyle Gibson
