Probable Starting Pitchers
Game 1: Corbin Burnes (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Will Warren (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
Corbin Burnes will make his regular-season debut for the Diamondbacks. Last season with Baltimore, he went 15-9 with a 2.92 ERA, a 3.55 FIP, a 1.10 WHIP, and 8.4 K/9. Will Warren will take the mound for the Yankees. Warren spent the winter retooling his approach, hoping to rebound from a rough few outings in 2024. In five starts last season, he went 0-3 with a 10.32 ERA, a 4.93 FIP, a 1.897 WHIP, and 11.5 K/9.
Game 2: Zac Gallen (0-1, 9.00 ERA) vs. Carlos Rodón (1-0, 1.69 ERA)
Gallen gets the middle game for Arizona. He had a rough outing against the Cubs on Thursday, giving up four runs in four innings pitched. He struck out four and walked four before finishing his day. Carlos Rodón will get the ball for the Yankees in game two. In his last outing versus Milwaukee, he tossed 5.1 innings, allowing only one earned run, while striking out seven on the way to his first win of the season.
Game 3: Merrill Kelly (1-0, 1.69 ERA) vs. Carlos Carrasco (0-0, 13.50 ERA)
Kelly took home the dub in his last outing on Friday, going 5.1 innings while allowing one earned run. He also struck out one and walked four in the Diamondbacks’ 8-1 finish over the Cubs. Veteran pitcher Cookie Carrasco will take the bump for the Yankees. Carrasco pitched two innings in relief in Saturday’s win over the Brewers. He surrendered five hits and three earned runs while striking out two before ending his day.

Player To Watch:
Arizona Diamondbacks
Eugenio Suárez has had an electric start to his 2025 season. In four games this season, he has already notched four home runs and seven RBIs, the most in the National League. With the Yankees fielding “down-roster” pitchers in two of three games this series, Suárez could put up more big numbers in the Bronx.
New York Yankees
“Torpedo bat” in hand, Jazz Chisholm is well-positioned to continue his hot streak against Arizona. His splits against right-handed pitchers position him well in this series against Arionza’s right-handed heavy rotation. Look for the right field short porch to see even more action over this midweek series, especially from Jazz.
