NCAA Hitters to Watch Super Regionals

The Super Regionals are set with four games on Friday to kick things off. The other four games will play game one on Saturday. On Friday, West Virginia will face Cal Poly, Troy will face Little Rock, North Carolina will face USC, and Ole Miss will face Auburn. On Saturday, there will be eight games, with Kansas facing Oklahoma, Alabama facing St. John’s, Texas facing Oregon, and Georgia facing Mississippi State, all of which will start their series. The Super Regionals are a best-of-three. Here are 15 hitters to keep your eye on over the weekend.

SS – Justin LeBron- Alabama

LeBron is the ninth-ranked draft prospect in this year’s draft. Kiley McDaniel of ESPN has him going 17th to the Houston Astros in his mock draft. This season in 57 games, he’s hitting .274 with a .925 OPS. He has 12 doubles, 16 home runs, 46 RBI, and 57 runs scored.

3B – Ace Reese – Mississippi State

Reese is the 21st-ranked prospect ahead of this summer’s draft. McDaniel has him mocked going 19th to the Cleveland Guardians. In 60 games this season, he’s hitting .328 with a 1.126 OPS. He has 21 doubles, 22 home runs, 72 RBI, and 69 runs scored.

OF – Aiden Robbins – Texas

Robbins is the 30th-ranked prospect, and he’s mocked to go 28th overall to the Astros. In 55 games for the Longhorns, he’s hitting .347 with a 1.156 OPS. He has nine doubles, two triples, 23 home runs, 62 RBI, and 63 runs scored. He’s been red hot in the tournament, hitting .429 in three games with four home runs, nine RBI, and eight runs scored.

C – Daniel Jackson – Georgia

Jackson is the 39th-ranked prospect ahead of the draft, but after the season he’s having, he may go late in the first round. In 61 games, he’s hitting .399 with a 1.339 OPS. He has 13 doubles, a triple, 30 home runs, 85 RBI, and 85 runs scored. He’s third in OPS, fourth in home runs, second in RBI, and second in runs scored in all of college baseball. In the tournament, he is hitting .500 with a double, two home runs, four RBI, and five runs scored. He was the SEC Player of the Year.

2B – Chris Rembert – Auburn

Rembert is the 41st-ranked draft prospect. In 54 games, he’s hitting .350 with a .876 OPS. He has 13 doubles, a triple, four home runs, 45 RBI, and 35 runs scored.

C – Carson Tinney – Texas

Tinney is the 86th-ranked draft prospect. In his first season at Texas, he’s hitting .333 with a 1.198 OPS. He has 13 doubles, 21 home runs, 56 RBI, and 64 runs scored.

SS – Jake Schaffner – North Carolina

Schaffner is the 91st-ranked prospect for the draft. Through 59 games, he owns a .362 batting average and a 1.057 OPS. He has 19 doubles, seven triples, six home runs, 44 RBI, 76 runs scored, and 25 stolen bases. He ranks tied for 10th in college baseball in runs scored and tied for fourth in triples.

C/OF – Brendan Brock – Oklahoma

Brock is the 109th prospect for the draft. In 56 games this season, he’s hitting .285 with a .893 OPS. He has ten doubles, two triples, 12 home runs, 50 RBI, 51 runs scored, and 26 stolen bases.

3B – Tre Phelps – Georgia

Phelps is the 116th-ranked prospect for the draft. In 60 games, he’s hitting .370 with a 1.164 OPS. He has ten doubles, a triple, 19 home runs, 57 RBI, and 77 runs scored. He will be suspended for game one of the Super Regionals after he was ejected in their win over Liberty.

3B – Camden Johnson – Oklahoma

Johnson is 129th ranked ahead of the draft. In his first season at Oklahoma, he’s hitting .316 with a .915 OPS. He has 11 doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 43 RBI, 51 runs scored, and 26 stolen bases.

SS – Tyson LeBlanc – Kansas

LeBlanc is ranked 130th by MLB.com ahead of the draft. In 61 games, he’s hitting .344 with a 1.139 OPS. He has 12 doubles, three triples, 24 home runs, 68 RBI, and 63 runs scored. He is tied for ninth in college baseball in home runs

2B – Ryan Cooney – Oregon

Cooney is the 133rd-ranked prospect for the draft. In 58 games, he’s hitting .335 with a .955 OPS. He has 21 doubles, a triple, eight home runs, 43 RBI, and 50 runs scored.

SS – Jaxon Willits – Oklahoma

Willits is the 146th ranked prospewct and the brother of the fourth-ranked prospect in baseball, Eli Willits whose also the Nationals’ top-ranked prospect. Jaxon, in 55 games this season, is hitting .289 with a .877 OPS. He has 14 doubles, three triples, six home runs, 46 RBI, and 30 runs scored.

C – Jimmy Janicki – Troy

Janicki, in 64 games, is hitting .346 with a 1.080 OPS. He has 22 doubles, a triple, 19 home runs, 83 RBI, and 61 runs scored. He is fourth in college baseball in RBI.

2B/C – Gavin Kelly – West Virginia

Kelly has emerged as the projected first overall pick in the 2027 MLB Draft. This season in 56 games, he’s hitting .379 with a 1.174 OPS. He has 18 doubles, three triples, 15 home runs, 55 RBI, and 60 runs scored.
