Portland vs. New Hampshire
Saturday – Portland Scores Three in Eighth to Secure Win
The Sea Dogs led 5-3 entering the eighth when they got an RBI single from Jack Winnay and a two-run home run from Raudelis Martinez to put the game away in an 8-3 win. Hedbert Perez hit a two-run home run in the sixth for New Hampshire. Blake Wehunt for Portland went 5.2 innings, allowing three runs on six hits. He didn’t allow a walk and struck out six. Jedixson Paez shut the door for his second save of the season. He went 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing a hit, no walks, and struck out two.
Sunday – New Hampshire Blows Out Portland
The Fisher Cats got a two-run home run from Eddie Micheletti Jr. to open the scoring in the first, making it 2-0. They got three runs in the fourth on a hit by pitch by Carter Cunningham, a bases-loaded walk from Adam Hackenberg, and a sacrifice fly from Nick Goodwin. They added three more in the sixth on a Cunningham RBI single, a Hackenberg sacrifice fly, and an Arjun Nimmala RBI single to make it 9-1. The final would be 10-3.
Erie vs. Harrisburg
Saturday – Erie Blanks Harrisburg
The SeaWolves opened the scoring in the third with RBI singles from Peyton Graham, Justice Bigbie, and Andrew Jenkins. In the fifth, Viandel Pena added a two-run home run, and in the sixth, Max Burt added a solo home run in their 6-0 win. Hayden Minton got the start, going four innings, allowing two hits, a walk, and striking out five. Carlos Pena got his first save of the season, going four scoreless innings, allowing four hits, no walks, and striking out three. Josh Randall got the start for Harrisburg, going six innings, allowing all six runs on six hits. He walked four and struck out seven.
Sunday – Erie Wins Third Straight with Walk-Off over Harrisburg
Harrisburg tied the game in the ninth with a Jonathon Thomas RBI single. In the tenth, after the Senators were held scoreless, Justice Bigbie hit a walk-off single to give Erie a 3-2 win.
Altoona vs. Richmond
Saturday – Altoona Beats Richmond with Early Runs
The Curve got a two-run home run from Duce Gourson in the first, then a two-RBI double from Titus Dumitru in the second to jump out to a 2-0 lead. They also got an RBI single from Shalin Polanco in the third. Parks Harber hit a solo home run in the fifth for Richmond’s lone run. Kyle Robinson for Altoona went six innings, allowing a run on seven hits. He walked three and struck out six.
Sunday – Richmond Evens Series against Altoona
The Flying Squirrels got a two-run home run from Jean Carlos Sio in the second to make it 3-1. Parks Harber had an RBI double in the fourth to extend the lead. Trystan Vrieling improved to 5-1 with a win, going six innings, allowing a run on a hit. He walked two and struck out four.
Somerset vs. Reading
Saturday – Reading Comes Back to Beat Somerset
The Fightin Phils trailed 2-1 after the first. The score remained the same entering the fifth when Pedro Leon hit a two-run home run to give Reading a 3-2 lead. Then they got solo home runs from Caleb Ricketts in the sixth and Raider Tello in the ninth. Adam Seminaris went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits. He walked one and struck out nine.
Sunday – Fightin Phils win in extras over Somerset.
Reading in the eighth got an RBI single from Kehden Hettiger to tie the game at 1-1. The Fightin Phils took a 2-1 lead in the 11th as Raylin Heredia had an RBI single. Saul Teran pitched a scoreless 11th, walking one and striking out three. Xavier Rivas for Somerset got the start, going six scoreless innings; he didn’t allow a hit, walked two, and struck out ten.
Hartford vs. Binghamton
Saturday – Binghamton scores seven in ninth to beat Hartford.
The game was tied 2-2 entering the ninth. Kevin Parada and Nick Lucky each had RBI singles to make it 4-2. Jaylen Palmer had a bases-clearing double, then Chris Suero singled home a run, and Nick Lorusso doubled home a run to make it 9-2, which was the final. Jonathan Santucci went six innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits. He walked one and struck out eight. Hartford got an RBI from Andy Perez and Dyan Jorge. Jackson Cox went six for the Yard Goats, allowing a run on a hit. He walked two and struck out nine.
Sunday – Binghamton Scores Five in Fourth to Secure Series Win over Hartford
The Rumble Ponies got an RBI single from Luis Robert Jr. in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead. Binghamton added to that with a three-run home run from Marcus Semien along with an RBI double from Nick Lorusso.
Akron vs. Chesapeake
Saturday – Baysox blank RubberDucks
Chesapeake got a bases-clearing double from Douglas Hodo III in the second. They got a two-run home run from Hodo in the sixth, an RBI single from Dom Keegan, and a bases-loaded walk from Silas Ardoin. Luis De Leon went eight scoreless innings, allowing two hits, a walk, and struck out five. Bennett Thompson and Juan Benjamin had Akron’s lone hits.
Sunday – Chesapeake Takes Finale to Even Series over Akron
The Baysox and RubberDucks were tied 3-3 in the seventh when Chesapeake broke it open. Thomas Sosa had an RBI single, Dom Keegan had the bases loaded, and he cleared them with a triple. Braylon Doughty for Akron went 4.2 innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits. He walked three and struck out six.
