Jack Kochanowicz will start for the Angels in today’s game against Astros rookie Tatsuya Imai. The first pitch is scheduled for 2:10 PM Eastern time. Before today’s game, the Angels announced two roster moves. They have optioned one pitcher to Triple-A, while selecting the contract of another from Salt Lake today.

The Los Angeles Angels optioned Walbert Urena to Triple-A today before their game with the Astros. Urena has pitched in two games already this season for the Angels. He suffered the loss in yesterday’s game, pitching one inning, allowing four hits, two walks, and striking out one. He has a 0.00 ERA with a 4.80 WHIP this season.

Shaun Anderson

The Los Angeles Angels have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Shaun Anderson from the Salt Lake Bees today. Anderson pitched in seven games last season for the Angels. He recorded one win without suffering a loss in 11 and one-third innings pitched in 2025. He finished the season with a 10.32 ERA, struck out 11, and had a 2.03 WHIP.
