Mitch Spence

The Royals have optioned Mitch Spence to the Omaha Storm Chasers in Triple-A. Spence has pitched in two games for the Royals, one of which was a start. He has one loss, a 13.50 ERA, a 2.13 WHIP, and struck out four across four innings of work. He will head to Triple-A to continue his season with the Omaha Storm Chasers.

Connor Seabold

The Royals have activated Connor Seabold before today’s game. Seabold was traded by the Blue Jays to the Royals in exchange for Denis Samudio and cash. This is the second time this season he has been traded. He started the year in Detroit. He was designated for assignment on May 24th. Seabold was then traded to Toronto on May 27th. With Detroit, Seabold pitched in 11 games with one win and a 3.45 ERA over 15 an two thirds innings pitched. While with Toronto, he pitched in five games without factoring in a decision. He had an 8.10 ERA, a 2.40 WHIP, and one strikeout, recording seven outs.
