The Kansas City Royals are coming off a series win against the fellow Central Division Minnesota Twins. The Royals start a new series tonight on AppleTv when they visit the Milwaukee Brewers. The Royals have a 3-3 record to open the season. Today, before their game with the Milwaukee Brewers, the Royals announced two roster moves. They have sent one player to the injured list. They called up tonight’s starting pitcher from the Omaha Storm Chasers in Triple-A.

Bailey Falter

The Kansas City Royals have placed left-handed pitcher Bailey Falter on the 15-day injured list. This move is retroactive to April 2nd. He is dealing with left elbow inflammation. Falter has pitched in two games for the Royals this season with a 13.50 ERA without factoring into a decision. He has pitched in three and one-third innings. He gave up five earned runs and one home run. Falter allowed two walks, striking out four. Falter also has a 3.00 WHIP on the season.

Luinder Avila

The Kansas City Royals have recalled Luinder Avila from the Omaha Storm Chasers today, before the game with the Brewers. Avila had one win and one loss in 13 games with the Royals last season. He had a 1.29 ERA in 14 innings of work, giving up six walks, striking out 16, and a 0.93 WHIP. Avila has made one start for Omaha this season. Avila has a 6.00 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP in Triple-A. He pitched three innings in his start, with two walks and struck out three. He will start game one of the series for the Royals on Friday night.
