Jhoan Duran Carted Off

Jhoan Duran Carted Off

The Philadelphia Phillies currently lead tonight’s second game in their series against the Washington Nationals, who saw their closer carted off. Jhoan Duran came into the game with the Phillies up 6-2. He took a line drive off his foot/ankle from Paul DeJong and left the game in the bullpen cart. David Robertson came in to replace him. Duran faced only one batter in the game. He made his fifth appearance for the Phillies tonight after being acquired from the Twins at the trade deadline. Duran has yet to allow an earned run unless DeJong scores in this game. He has four saves and is posting a 0.50 WHIP and three strikeouts in four innings.
