Jarred Kelenic
The White Sox have selected the contract of outfielder Jarred Kelenic from the Charlotte Knights ahead of today’s game. Kelenic was a first-round pick of the New York Mets. He was later traded to the Seattle Mariners. There, he was a highly touted prospect. Kelenic was with the Braves organization the past two seasons. He played in 24 games for the Braves last season, hitting .167 with 23 strikeouts and ten hits. This season in Triple-A Kelenic has a .202 average with four doubles, six home runs, 18 RBI, and seven steals in 26 games.
