Chicago White Sox Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Chicago White Sox had a split series with the Kansas City Royals. They were outscored 9-8 by the Royals. Chicago has a 6-10 record. They are in fifth place in the AL Central. This is entering Tuesday night’s game with the Tampa Bay Rays. Noah Schultz will make his MLB debut for the White Sox tonight. He will face Tampa Bay’s Shane McClanahan in game one. The White Sox announced two other moves today. This was, besides Schultz being called up ahead of their first game with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Noah Schultz

The White Sox have selected the contract of Noah Schultz today from Triple-A. Schultz will make the start tonight for the White Sox. In three games with the Charlotte Knights, Schultz has three wins with a 1.29 ERA and a 0.43 WHIP. He has thrown 14 innings of work and struck out 19 batters this year in Triple-A. The tall Left-handed pitcher will make his MLB Debut tonight.

Jonathan Cannon

Chicago has placed Jonathan Cannon on the 15-day injured list retroactive to April 13th with a right hip inflammation. Cannon appeared in one game without recording an out, but allowed three walks and one earned run.

Everson Pereira

The White Sox have activated Everson Pereira from the 10-day injured list today. This move comes ahead of their game with the Tampa Bay Rays. In five games this season Pereira has hit .250/.294/.500 with one double, one home run, and one RBI. He is returning from a left ankle sprain that sidelined him back on April 2nd.
