Boston Red Sox Spring Breakout Roster Revealed

The Boston Red Sox will take on the Atlanta Braves on March 16th at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Florida at 1:05 PM in the first-ever Spring Breakout where fans can see top prospects face off against other top prospects. Today the Red Sox roster for the game was revealed and it features all four prospects in ITD’s top 100 rankings shortstop Marcelo Mayer who ranks 13th, outfielder Roman Anthony who ranks 21st, catcher Kyle Teel who ranks 40th, and Ceddanne Rafaela who ranks 75th. The Boston Red Sox are expected to have Ceddanne Rafaela be the Opening Day center fielder so Red Sox fans will get to see him showcased in this game. This will also feature the Red Sox future up the middle with Kyle Teel, Marcelo Mayer, and Roman Anthony which Red Sox ownership has said when they make it to Fenway Park it will be a full go so this is the chance to see them up close, and personal. We’ll also get to see new Red Sox prospects who were acquired this offseason, Richard Fitts from the Yankees in the Alex Verdugo trade, and David Sandlin from the Kansas City Royals for John Schreiber.
