The Boston Red Sox wrap up their three-game series today against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Red Sox snapped a three-game skid last night with a 3-2 win over the Brewers in the middle game. Ahead of this afternoon’s game, the Red Sox placed right-handed pitcher Justin Slaten on the injured list retroactive to April 5th with a right oblique strain. To fill his spot in the bullpen, they’ve recalled left-handed pitcher Tyler Samaniego from Triple-A Worcester. The Red Sox announced Samaniego will wear the number 78.
