Before starting the series with the Oakland Athletics, the Texas Rangers announced that Wyatt Langford was placed on the ten-day injured list retroactive to May 5th. He was removed from the game against the Kansas City Royals on May 4th in the bottom of the 5th inning after he pulled up running down the first base line during an at-bat. After the game on May 5th, manager Bruce Bochy said he was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain with a return sometime in the next three to four weeks.
