The St. Louis Cardinals designated Luis Peralta for assignment ahead of their game today against the Dodgers. Peralta was claimed off waivers back on April 27th from the Colorado Rockies. He never once pitched for the Cardinals organization. Peralta last pitched for the Albuquerque Isotopes. He has two losses in six games with a 17.18 ERA.
Hunter Dobbins
The Cardinals have optioned Hunter Dobbins to the Memphis Redbirds today before their game with the Dodgers. Dobbins started one game for the Cardinals, throwing four and one-third innings against the Pirates on April 30th. He allowed three earned runs on two hits and five walks. Dobbins struck out four in the start. He will return to Triple-A and continue his season.

Jared Shuster
The Cardinals have selected the contract of Jared Shuster from the Memphis Redbirds today. Shuster has pitched in two games this season for the Cardinals with a 4.91 ERA through three and two-thirds innings pitched. He recorded one strikeout and walked two. In Triple-A this season, Shuster has a 2-1 record with an 8.38 ERA in five games pitched.
