Probable Starting Pitchers

Game 1: Kumar Rocker (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Brady Singer (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

Both Rocker and Singer are making their season debuts. He started three games with the Texas Rangers after being called up from the team’s minor league squads. He posted a combined ERA of 1.96. Singer spent the entire 2024 season with Kansas City. He posted a 3.71 ERA across 32 starts and has a win-loss record of 9-13. He was traded to the Reds in a deal that sent two players to Kansas City.

Game 2: Nathan Eovaldi (0-0, 3.00 ERA) vs. Carson Spiers (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

Eovaldi went six innings in his first start of the season, striking out nine batters. He was key in the Rangers’ run to the 2023 World Series. He aims to lead the Texas Rangers to their second World Series title in 2025. Spiers is set to make his season debut for the Reds. He posted a 5.46 ERA across 90.2 innings pitched. He spent time as both a starter and a reliever in the 2024 season, posting a win-loss record of 5-7.

Game 3: Jack Leiter (1-0, 1.80 ERA) vs. Hunter Greene (0-0, 3.60 ERA)

The Texas Rangers put their faith in the son of the great Al Leiter for this series finale. He went 0-3 with an 8.83 ERA in 2024 but spent the offseason developing a new pitch. It has served him well thus far. He earned his first Major League win against the Red Sox last week. Greene went 9-5 with a 2.75 ERA in his 26 starts with Cincinnati. He has made one start for the Reds in the 2025 season. He earned a 3.60 ERA with eight strikeouts.

Texas Rangers

Jonah Heim in 131 games last season, hit .220 with a .603 OPS. He had 12 doubles, one triple, 13 home runs, 59 RBI, and 45 runs scored. After a down season in 2024, Jonah Heim is looking to make a comeback. He aims to return to his 2023 form. He smashed two over the fence and very nearly a third. This secured the first win of the season for the Texas Rangers.

Cincinnati Reds

Elly De La Cruz in 160 games hit .259 with a .810 OPS. He had 36 doubles, ten triples, 25 home runs, 76 RBI, and 105 runs scored. Thus far in the 2025 season, De La Cruz has two hits, two runs, one RBI, and one walk in the three games he has appeared in. He has a current batting average of .250 with three strikeouts.
