
Jackson Jobe was born in Irving, Texas, on July 30, 2002. He played high school baseball at Heritage Hall School in Oklahoma City, OK. Jobe was the first-ranked high school pitcher in Oklahoma. He ranked fourth for pitchers in the country in 2021. In his junior year, he appeared in one game and went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and one strikeout. In his senior year, he pitched 51.2 innings, going 9-0 with a 0.14 ERA and 122 strikeouts. He finished his high school career pitching 52.2 innings. He struck out 123 batters and allowed only one earned run. This impressive performance led him to finish with a 0.13 ERA. Jobe committed to playing college baseball at the University of Mississippi.
