Detroit Tigers Prospect Check-In: Week 2

The Detroit Tigers this past week faced the Pittsburgh Pirates twice, the Boston Red Sox twice, the Philadelphia Phillies, the New York Yankees, and the Atlanta Braves. They went 4-3 splitting with the Pirates and Red Sox and beating the Phillies and Yankees, and they lost to the Braves to bring their spring record to 6-5-1.

OF – Max Clark

Clark is not playing for the Tigers at Lakeland.

2B/3B – Colt Keith

Keith over the last week has played in three games and he went 1-7 combined. This spring he is hitting .267 with a .713 OPS; he has two doubles, four RBI, and a walk.  

RHP – Jackson Jobe

Jobe is not playing for the Tigers at Lakeland.

2B – Jace Jung

Jung has played in five games since last week going 4-7 with an RBI, two runs scored and two walks. He is hitting .400 with a .933 OPS at Lakeland; he has two RBI, three runs scored, and three walks.  

RHP – Wilmer Flores

Flores appeared in two games this past week, in the first one he two innings giving up one hit and striking out three. In the second yesterday, he went two innings giving up two hits; he walked one and struck out three. This spring he is 0-0 in three appearances with a 7.71 ERA, a 1.71 WHIP, and seven strikeouts in 4.2 innings.   

RHP – Ty Madden

Madden pitched on Monday against Boston going two innings giving up no runs on a hit; he walked one and struck out three. This spring in two appearances he is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA, a 1.64 WHIP, and five strikeouts in 3.2 innings.  

OF – Justyn Henry Malloy

Malloy has played in five games over the last week going 1-10 with a double, and two walks. This spring he is hitting .167 with a .675 OPS; he has one double, one home run, one RBI, one run scored, and three walks.  

INF – Kevin McGonigle

McGonigle is not playing for the Tigers at Lakeland.

OF – Parker Meadows

Meadows has played in four games, going 2-8 with a home run, an RBI, one run scored, and a walk. This spring he is hitting .286 with a .904 OPS; he has one double, one home run, one RBI, two runs scored, and one walk.   

C – Dillon Dingler

Dingler has played in four games over the last week, and he is 1-5 with an RBI, and a walk. This spring he is hitting .333 with a .795 OPS; he has one RBI, three runs scored, and two walks.
