The Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago White Sox have agreed to a trade that will send infielder Jacob Gonzalez and left-handed pitcher Brandon Eissert to the Pirates. Pittsburgh is sending left-handed pitcher Jaden Woods and the 34th pick in tomorrow’s draft to Chicago.

Gonzalez, in 30 games this season, is hitting .244 with a .683 OPS. He has four doubles, two home runs, 17 RBI, and 11 runs scored. In 52 games at Triple-A, he has hit .317 with a 1.088 OPS. He has 11 doubles, a triple, and 19 home runs. 62 RBI, and 42 runs scored. Eissert, in four starts, is 2-1 with a 5.93 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts in 27.1 innings. He has made 13 appearances with Charlotte, going 1-1 with a 5.79 ERA, a 1.64 WHIP, and 12 strikeouts in 14 innings
Woods, in ten games at Triple-A, is posting a 9.31 ERA, a 1.65 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts in 9.2 innings. He also made 17 appearances at Double-A, going 3-2 with a 3.16 ERA, a 1.16 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts in 25.2 innings. Combined, he’s 3-2 with a 4.84 ERA, a 1.30 WHIP, and 51 strikeouts in 35.1 innings.
