Picks of the Day, 4/28

Marcus Stroman faces the Marlins in Miami today. I expect a strong performance.

Even when I lose, I win. For only the second time this season, all three of my picks lost yesterday, and lost big. But, because I picked Brett Baty to hit his first home run at +650, I still ended up 3.5 units up for the day.

42-37 on the season. Be aware of lots of rain across the country today.
Pick #1
Cubs @ Marlins, Stroman to record win +190
I very much dislike Stroman, but he has been very solid, aside from one shaky outing. Good vibes from the fast start are fading in Miami.
Pick #2
Guardians @ Red Sox, Pivetta Over 5.5 Strikeouts, +115
Even when Pivetta is terrible, he gets his strikeouts. I’ve seen many first innings in which he allows 2+ runs but still records 3 Ks.
Pick #3
D-Backs @ Rockies, Total Runs Under 11.5, -110
Both Merrill Kelly and Kyle Freeland need to get going. Even if today isn’t their day, 11.5 is high.
Reach
Nathaniel Lowe to hit home run, +650
The lefty slugger faces Clarke Schmidt in Texas. I’ll probably play DeGrom to record a win at -105 too
