The Brewers jumped out to an early lead as Andrew Vaughn hit a two-run home run in the top of the first. It was Vaughn’s first home run of spring and made it 2-0 Milwaukee. The Brewers continued to add on in the first as Gary Sanchez was hit by a pitch then Brandon Lockridge hit a single. Next batter, David Hamilton, reached on a fielder’s choice. Then Jett Williams tripled home Hamilton and Sanchez to make it 4-0.

The Padres got on the board in the fourth when Miguel Andujar hit a solo home run to make it 4-1. Brandon Lockridge got the run back for Milwaukee with a solo home run, making it 5-1. It was his second home run of the spring.

In the eighth inning, the Padres’ bats exploded. Romeo Sanabria ripped a double that cleared the bases as Jose Miranda, Luis Campusano, and Pablo Reyes all scored. A few batters later Samad Taylor singled home Sanabria to tie the game. Ethan Salas who was behind Sanabria on the bases would also score to give the Padres the lead. Francisco Acuna singled home Samad Taylor who had stolen third to make it 7-5 Padres.
