They take on the Blue Jays this evening in Toronto at the Rogers Centre. They have split the first two games and will look to win the series tonight. Ahead of the game tonight, the Twins announced two roster moves. The Twins have activated a starter off the injured list. They have optioned a right-handed pitcher to Triple-A ahead of tonight’s game.

Simeon Woods Richardson

The Minnesota Twins have activated Simeon Woods Richardson today off the 15-day injured list. Woods Richardson will rejoin the Twins and start the rubber game of the three-game series with the Blue Jays. His last start came at home against the Boston Red Sox on July 28th. Woods Richardson has won five games this year and lost four. He has pitched in 17 games, making 16 starts for a total of 80 and two-thirds innings pitched. Woods Richardson has a 4.24 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP on the year. With 69 strikeouts and 35 walks on the year.

Pierson Ohl

The Minnesota Twins have optioned right-handed pitcher Pierson Ohl to Triple-A today before the game with the Blue Jays. Ohl has pitched in seven games for the Twins this season, with three starts on the year. He has three losses this season with a 5.66 ERA over 20 and two-thirds innings pitched. Ohl will continue his season pitching for the St. Paul Saints in Triple-A.
