Miami Marlins Add Pitching Depth

Miami Marlins Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Miami Marlins yesterday added their shortstop for the 2024 season by signing Tim Anderson to a one-year deal. Today they followed that up by signing RHP Vladimir Gutierrez to a minor league deal with a non-roster invite to spring training. The Marlins expected 2024 rotation consists of Jesus Luzardo, Eury Perez, Braxton Garrett, Edward Cabrera, and Trevor Rogers; they will be without Sandy Alcantara for the season. Signing Guttierez gives them depth even if he is sent to Triple-A; in the system they already have prospect Max Meyer as well as Yonny Chirinos, pitching at Triple-A as well.
