The Los Angeles Dodgers picked up a comeback win last night over the Kansas City Royals after going down 3-0 in the top of the fourth inning. The Dodgers came right back with three of their own in the bottom of the fifth inning behind a Miguel Rojas two-run home run then two batters later Chris Taylor hit a solo home run to tie the game at 3-3. The Dodgers would get the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning when Freddie Freeman singled home Mookie Betts to make it 4-3, then Alex Vesia shut the door picking up his third save of the season; Daniel Hudson picked up the win in relief to improve to 3-1 on the year. Despite that fourth inning, the Dodgers got a nice start from Gavin Stone who went seven innings giving up three runs on four hits; he walked two and struck out three. The rotation for the Dodgers will get very crowded soon as they got news of two arms who will be getting ready to return, Bobby Miller will return next week and will start on Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies. Also, Clayton Kershaw will start a rehab assignment at Single-A with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Wednesday as he works back from left shoulder surgery.

Last season he made 24 starts in his age 35 season going 13-5 with a 2.46 ERA, a 4.03 FIP, a 1.06 WHIP, and 137 strikeouts in 131.2 innings.
Wrap Up:
The Dodgers rotation is currently Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, James Paxton, Walker Buehler, and Gavin Stone. Those five are 26-14 combined with a 3.40 ERA, a 1.17 WHIP, and 319 strikeouts in 325.1 innings. The Dodgers starting pitchers this year post a 3.51 ERA (6th in MLB & 2nd in NL), a 3.75 FIP (T-9th in MLB & T-4th in NL), a 1.17 WHIP (6th in MLB & 2nd in NL), an 8.8 K/9 (5th in MLB & 3rd in NL), and a 2.8 BB/9 (15th in MLB & 7th in NL). The Dodgers will have seven arms when healthy which will create some questions but they have depth which is a good problem to have and will benefit them with 91 games left in the 2024 regular season.
