The Kansas City Royals have started their season out 4-5 after losing two of three to the Milwaukee Brewers. Tonight, they start a new series with AL Central Division rival Cleveland Guardians. Tonight’s game’s first pitch will be at 6:10 EST as Michael Wacha will face Tanner Bibee at Progressive Field. The Kansas City Royals have announced roster moves ahead of tonight’s first pitch. Michael Massey has been activated from the 10-day injured list today.

The Kansas City Royals have activated Michael Massey from the 10-day injured list today. Massey was placed on the injured list back on March 25th with a left calf sprain. This spring, Massey was off to a good start; he slashed .364/.417/.545 in eight spring games. He played in 77 games for the Royals, slashing .244/.268/.313. He had nine doubles, three home runs, and 20 RBI last year. Massey played in three games during his rehab stint with the Omaha Storm Chasers. He had one home run, two RBI, and slashed .250/.250/.500.

Nick Loftin

The Kansas City Royals have optioned Nick Loftin back to Triple-A today ahead of their game with the Cleveland Guardians. Loftin played in four games for the Royals, recording two hits, one of which was a double. Loftin Drew two walks and struck out once during his four games with the Royals. He appeared in 68 games for the Royals last season. He hit nine doubles, two triples, and four home runs. Loftin tallied 20 RBI while slashing .208/.278/.357.
