Joey Bart Leaves Game Against Reds

The Pittsburgh Pirates are in the first game of their three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds. They are 5-8 entering tonight’s game. During tonight’s game against the Reds catcher Joey Bart left due to lower back discomfort. He was being treated by the Pirates medical staff. He is currently day-to-day. Bart and Endy Rodriguez collided in Wednesday’s win over the Cardinals. Not sure if the injury coincided with tonight’s. Bart this season was hitting .275 with a .795 OPS. He had a double, a triple, a home run, five RBI, four runs scored, four walks, and a stolen base. A tough loss for the Pirates if he has to miss significant time.
