Dodgers Return: Spring Training Updates on Outman, Sauer, Knack

The undefeated Lost Angeles Dodgers return to the States after their two-game Tokyo series against the Chicago Cubs. While they will continue now their spring training camp, three players will be heading to minor league camps today. James Outman highlights these moves made by the Dodgers as he heads to Oklahoma City to start his 2025 season.

James Outman – CF

The Dodgers have optioned James Outman to Oklahoma City Comets to start his year in Triple-A. Outman finished his big league spring training with a .207 batting average, one home run, and six RBIs. In 2024 Outman played in 53 games for the Dodgers. He finished with a .147 batting average with a slash line of .256/.265/.521. Outman had four home runs and 11 RBIs.

Matt Sauer – RHP

The Dodgers have optioned Sauer to Triple-A to start his year with the Oklahoma City Comets. Sauer finished training camp with an 8.22 ERA over 7.2 innings in four games. Last year he made 14 appearances pitching 16.1 innings for the Dodgers. He finished last year with a 7.71 ERA and a 2.08 WHIP.

Landon Knack – RHP

The Dodgers have optioned Knack to Triple-A where he starts the year with the Oklahoma City Comets. Knack finished training camp with four appearances with two games started. He pitched a total of 6.2 innings this spring. Knack finished with an 8.10 ERA and a 1.80 WHIP. Last season Knack made 12 starts for the Dodgers and pitched in 15 total games. He worked in 69 innings striking out 69 while winning three games and losing five. Knack also recorded one save in 2024.
