Detroit Tigers Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Detroit Tigers start a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox tonight. The Tigers are coming off a tough series against the New York Mets in which they dropped two of the three games and were outscored 24-19. The Tigers today activated outfielder Parker Meadows from the injured list. They also placed reliever Kyle Finnegan on the 15-day injured list with a right abductor strain. Meadows will play center field tonight and bat ninth.

Meadows this season with the Tigers in 38 games hit .200 with a .566 OPS. He had four doubles, a triple, two home runs, nine RBI, 15 runs scored, three stolen bases, and 12 walks. In 15 minor league games with the Lakeland Flying Tigers and Toledo Mud Hens hit .260 with a .893 OPS. He has three doubles, three triples, a home run, seven RBI, 13 runs scored, a stolen base, and 11 walks.

Kyle Finnegan

Finnegan has gone 3-0 in 12 games since the Tigers acquired him. He has four saves, a 0.00 ERA, a 0.42 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts in 14.1 innings. In 40 games with the Washington Nationals to start the year, he went 1-4 with 20 saves, a 4.38 ERA, a 1.28 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts in 39 innings.
